For example, it is common for a large number of cultures to provide each guest with a wedding favor that contains five candies. Each piece represents one of the five common wedding wishes: health, wealth, happiness, fertility, and longevity. On the other hand, there are some cultures that do not give wedding favors out at all (like in Jewish and Chinese weddings).
